Pray for change!
October 31 starts the holiday season with one of the more (in my opinion) lackluster holidays, Halloween. However, what this holiday does present is the start of many opportunities for outreach! Whether its our Kid's Harvest Town event (Friday October 29), Thanksgiving, Christmas or even New Years, the Holiday season for the church should be a season of evangelism! People are in the festive spirit. They are a little more open and jovial. However, at the heart of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years is the gospel message. We can be thankful for the blessings we have in Christ. We were blessed with a Savior on Christmas. New Years gives us a chance to start over and make significant changes in our lives. This year, as we approach the Holiday Season, pray for change in the lives of those around you. Also pray that God would open doors for you to be an instrument of that change!
